Ebenezer Ayres Ceremony

 Saturday, October 24, 2009    1:00PM All are invited to join grateful Americans and the descendant of Ebenezer Ayres this Saturday at the Revolutionary War Monument (south of the Iowa State Capital bldg, behind the large Soldiers and Sailors monument) for a brief and moving ceremony.  248 years after his birth, 228 years after his Patriotic service in the Revolutionary War and 175 years after settling in Iowa, Ebenezer Ayres will finally be recognized and honored with the carving of his name into the Revolutionary War Veterans buried in Iowa Monument.  Patriot Ayres name will join the 39 other documented veterans on this magnificent pillar.  Please forward this invitation on to any and all that would like to join in this brief celebration of all Iowa veterans of all times.
