On May 9, 2017  Reva Rupe a member of Iowa DAR presented the SAR JROTC  award to Ethan Hernandez of Ottumwa High School in Ottumwa, Iowa.

The Iowa Society of the Sons of the American Revolution has had 100% participation at all the ROTC,  JROTC and Sea Cadet programs in the State of Iowa for over 10 straight years.
