For those of you that have been following the Fort Madison, Iowa situation, I thought I might pass this along.

Hope to see some of you in Fort Madison on August 8th for the Revolutionary War Patriot Ebenezer Ayres grave dedication. I’m not aware yet of a date for the marking of the Revolutionary War Monument on the State Capital grounds in Des Moines.

The Central Iowa Chapter Color Guard will also be attending the Saturday July 25 program for veteran’s families at Gray’s Lake, marching in the Iowa State Fair parade and sending off the WWII veterans leaving August 11th on the Hy-Vee Honor Flight to Washington D.C. As always there are many opportunities to join us and perhaps for us to join you for the activities in your community.
