To all Compatriots:
On August 8, 2009 we will be celebrating the identification of a prior unknown veteran of the Revolutionary War. Patriot Ebenezer Ayres was a 19 year old from Fairfield County, Connecticut . Patriot Ayres had lived in St. Charles County. Missouri one year before he moved to Lee County, Iowa where he died December 29, 1834. The major event is schedules for 1:00 P.M. at the Hickory Grove Cemetery in Washington Township, Lee County, Fort Madison, IA where Patriot Ebenezer Ayres is buried At 2:30 P.M. there will be a reception for all at the Union Presbyterian Church in their Fellowship Hall where there will be an opportunity to hear stories and picture sharing.. If you can find time in you busy schedule come to Fort Madison, IA and help us celebrate the locating of another Patriot. Bring family and friends. Members in uniform are welcome.
